COLEBROOK — This year’s annual Independance Day chicken barbecue at the Colebrook Senior Center, held on Saturday, July 1, marked the last for its organizers, who were thanked for their services at the event.

According to event co-organizer Steve Bury, who helped prepare this year’s dinner, the chefs who cooked the meal barbecued 160 pounds of chicken on the center’s outdoor grill.

An estimated 100 residents enjoyed the event.
