Starting over on budget plan

NORTH CANAAN — In the wake of the June 7 annual town meeting — when voters rejected the 2017–18 budget as proposed by the boards of education and selectmen — the finance board directed those boards to begin their budget processes again, and to reduce proposed expenditures by one mill, or $325,000. The decision was announced at the June 14 meeting of the Board of Finance.
