Mad River Co-Op starts selling shares

WINSTED —  Members of the Mad River Market Co-Op, along with members of  the Northwest Connecticut Chamber of Commerce Leadership Program, held a shareholder recruitment event at the Winsted Farmers Market and the Health Food Corner store on Saturday, May 13.

With the drive, the market officially started to sell shares to the general public.

The co-op recently formed in light of the announced closing of the Super Saver IGA store at 372 Main St.
