Fire Department hosts students for open house

NORFOLK —  As part of the statewide Volunteer Firefighter Day, the Norfolk Fire Department held its open house on Sunday, April 23.

At the event, the department operated an extrication drill for Emergency Medical Medical Technician (EMT) students from The Hotchkiss School in Lakeville.

Students learned from department members about extrication tools and skills.

Two donated cars were used in the drill with some of the students playing the role of victims while other students played the role of rescuers.
