Cornwall budgets vote May 19

CORNWALL — Town residents and public officials came together to consider the proposed 2017-18 budget at a public hearing Friday, April 21, at Cornwall Consolidated School. Conducted by the finance board, the meeting drew about 35 residents to hear an overview of both the selectmen’s budget and the budget proposed by the education board.

Finance board Chair John LaPorta termed the overall proposals as “nothing extraordinary” as he opened the meeting.
