Students are hooked on science at annual STEAM Fair

WEBUTUCK— As the clock struck 9 a.m., the cafeteria of Eugene Brooks Intermediate School (EBIS) was crowded with student scientists and visitors as the North East (Webutuck) Central School District hosted its Third Annual STEAM Fair on Saturday, Feb. 4. 

While the acronym is more commonly recognized as  STEM   to represent the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, the educators  of Webutuck decided to incorporate “Art” into the acronym, as art is regarded as a component of science.
