Pig roast raises funds for society

BARKHAMSTED — The Barkhamsted Historical Society held their second annual pig roast at Squire’s Tavern on Saturday, Aug. 20.

The tavern, a historical building located on 100 East River Road across from People’s State Forest, is operated and maintained by the society and is used as a museum for historical artifacts and for special events.

The roast was a fundraiser for the society and its programs.
