Barkhamsted celebrates Fourth of July with parade

BARKHAMSTED — The Barkhamsted Lions Club sponsored its 65th Independence Day Parade on Monday, July 4.

First Selectman Don Stein called the parade “the best Fourth of July parade in all of Connecticut.” Hundreds of people came out and lined West River Road, which was closed for the event. One of the parade-goers was Kasey Crouse, a new resident of Torrington.
