Honoring local veterans

Veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces spoke with seventh- and eighth-graders at Eugene Brooks Intermediate School on Thursday, May 26. In attendance were Army Staff Sgt. WEBUTUCK — Memorial Day is a time for remembrance and honoring those who have valiantly defended this country. But it is also a time for learning.

With Memorial Day just days away at the time, Eugene Brooks Intermediate School Principal Erik Lynch and Erin Bailey, a parent, invited veterans in the community to visit the school, to share their experiences with seventh- and eighth-graders.
