Sun shines for town’s Earth Day event

BARKHAMSTED — The town’s third annual Earth Day celebrations were held at People’s State Forest on Sunday, April 24.

The event included various environmentally themed vendors, a live birds of prey show presented by Horizon Wings, free food from the Riverton General Store and music by The Travelin’ Trout band.

Before the event, the Barkhamsted Lions Club held a cleanup event on West River Road, which is near the forest.
