Seniors learn how to avoid scams

BARKHAMSTED —  Fifteen residents discussed how not to get scammed by con artists at a workshop held at the Barkhamsted Community Center on Friday, Nov. 6.

The workshop was sponsored by state Sen. Kevin Witkos (R-8), state Rep. Bill Simanski (R-62) and the state AARP chapter.

Presenting at the workshop was AARP volunteer Tia Murphy.
