Millerton gathers for Irondale Schoolhouse dedication ceremony

Millerton — Members of the public, as well as representatives from the village, town and state governments, gathered at 16 Main St. on Saturday, Oct. 18, for the Irondale Schoolhouse dedication ceremony.

After Board of the Friends of the Irondale Schoolhouse President Ralph Fedele rang the school’s bell and welcomed the guests, Vice President Cathy Fenn opened the ceremony with a brief history of the project.

Fenn explained that the project was conceived in 2009 from a downtown plan by the Townscape of Millerton and North East and Dutchess County Planning.
