Book sale benefit for library and historical society

BARKHAMSTED — The Barkhamsted Historical Society and Friends of the Beardsley and Memorial Library teamed up again for a tag and book sale on Saturday, May 24.

The third annual event was held at the Barkhamsted Garage on Route 44.

“We’ve moved a lot of stuff,” Noreen Watson, vice president of the Barkhamsted Historical Society, said about the event’s turnout. “I think people were happy to see the sun this morning and be able to come outside.”
