Earth Day celebrated at People’s Forest

BARKHAMSTED — An Earth Day festival was held at People’s Forest on Sunday, April 27.

The event was sponsored by The Barkhamsted Conservation Commission, the Economic Development Commission and the Barkhamsted Lions Club.

Between 250 and 300 residents attended.

The day’s events featured a river cleanup, a presentation featuring birds of prey and a showcase of nature-based products.

Music was provided by The Trout Band, a group made up of local residents who have served on different commissions from the town.
