Church holds chili cook-off

The Catholic Women’s Club of the Immaculate Conception Church at 4 North St. held a chili cook-off on Saturday, Feb. 8.

The event drew many from the community and was attended by parishioners of the church, members of the community and parishioners from Immaculate Conception Church’s sister parish, Saint Joseph Church in North Canaan.

Gerry Brodnitzki, member of the Catholic Women’s Club and church parishioner, was the event’s main host.

Brodnitzki said the club hosts other fundraising events throughout the year and the women in the club take turns hosting events.
