COLEBROOK — Mounds of pasta, salad, desserts and good times were served at Colebrook Consolidated School on Thursday, Oct. 4, during a benefit dinner for the sixth-grade class. Proceeds will go toward the expenses of a field trip to Cape Cod next May. More than 300 people attended the dinner.

“We’re raising money so students will not have to pay out of pocket for the trip,” class teacher Katie Ellison said. “The trip fits into our classes about ecosystems. The environment in Cape Cod is very different from our local environment.”

Ellison praised her class of 21 students.
