NORFOLK — The Free Spirit women’s motorcycle club attracted more than 200 people to Maasser Park on Route 44 Sunday, Sept. 23, for a party that raised money for Torrington’s Center for Cancer Care.

The 11th annual event, organized by club member Dina Hague Viel and friends, started with a 10 a.m. scavenger hunt for children at the cancer center’s Torrington campus at 200 Kennedy Drive. By noontime, the rock and blues band, The Ruins, was tuning up and getting ready to take the crowd through its renditions of tunes from the 60s, 70s and 80s.
