All the usual late-spring vegetables were available in the stands at the farm market in Millerton this weekend. Lettuce, arugula, parsnips, all sorts of herbs. All beautiful, but still … usual. I walked up and down the rows, admiring yet still searching for something. But what? And then I saw them. It was love at first sight — the whimsical, green curly shoots overflowing their basket could only hold the promise of something special.
