Groups succeed at fundraiser

BARKHAMSTED — Friends of the Beardsley and Memorial Library and the Barkhamsted Historical Society held a joint book sale and flea market at the Barkhamsted Town Garage on Saturday, May 19.

The book sale included hundreds of books which were received as donations to the library, while the flea market included items including cookware, clothing and exercise equipment.

Paul Hart is the secretary for the Friends of the Beardsley Memorial Library and the president of the Barkhamsted Historical Society.
