Roadwork to begin at Great Hill/Great Hollow

CORNWALL — At long last, the Great Hill/Great Hollow Road project is set to begin.

Repairs, upgrades and repaving to portions of the roads that run around the southerly parts of Mohawk Mountain into East Cornwall were to begin this week with preliminary work, such as drainage. Repaving is expected to done in mid-June.

The project has had its stops and starts, dependent as it is on an American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 grant (commonly called “stimulus funding”). The roads qualify because they are designated as feeder roads into Milton.
