Hams and pocket parks are coming to town


CORNWALL — Pocket parks are a new trend in town. It’s essentially a new name for an existing concept that happens more by chance than design, of tiny green spots perfect for a park bench.

In West Cornwall, next to the Covered Bridge, an existing informal park is getting a rehab after the rebuilding of the Lower River Road bridge. Funds from the town budget’s tree warden line item will be used for new plantings there.
