Glow sticks, telescope guides at Invention Convention

FALLS VILLAGE — Middle-school students at the Lee H. Kellogg School presented their invention ideas to a panel of judges at the school’s Invention Convention on Thursday, March 29.

Thirty-eight students in grades five through eight began an invention project in January. They identified a problem that could be solved, then went through the steps of designing, building, testing and revising invention ideas until they had a final prototype.

The 10 judges included local inventors, artists, librarians, science and math professionals and Board of Education members.
