Susan M. Lynch

MILLERTON — Susan M. Lynch, 61, of Potter Hollow, N.Y., passed away at St. Peter’s Hospice Inn in Albany, N.Y., on June 18, 2011.

She was born in Elizabeth, N.J., on Aug. 3, 1949, the daughter of the late Mary (Moore) and Andrew Lynch.

Susan was employed by the New York State Department of Criminal Justice as a supervisor in the fingerprinting department. She enjoyed gardening and was an excellent weaver, winning several awards at the local county fairs.

Susan was very active in getting state recognition for the Potter Hollow School project. A communicant of Our Lady of Knock Shrine in East Durham, N.Y., she was also active in the Knights of Columbus Columbiettes ­— Our Lady of Knock Council 6439. She will be remembered as a great friend to many.

She is survived by a sister, Patti Lynch, of Millerton; a brother, Andrew J. Lynch of Rhinebeck; two nieces, Andrea Gollenger and Shannon Koley; and her longtime canine companion, Bella.

A Mass of Christian burial was held June 22 at Our Lady of Knock Shrine. Interment in the Potter Hollow Cemetery followed.
