Students jump at chance to skip rope at school

KENT — It’s called Jump Rope for Heart, but students at Kent Center School who took part in the annual program had a chance to try out a variety of aerobic activities.

The annual program, sponsored by the American Heart Association, was for students in grades two through six and was held at the school on Friday, Feb. 3.

Students visiteded fitness stations set up around the gym. Some of the activities included: individual rope jumping; jumping a long rope spun by two other students; hopscotch; a jumping course; spinning rope jumping; and Hula-Hoops.
