Snow foolin’

Eleven days after the official beginning of spring, Mother Nature blanketed the Winsted area with a significant coating of snow on the morning of Friday, April 1. While many weather forecasters were predicting 6 to 12 inches, only a few inches of snow fell to the ground. It was enough, however, to create the appearance of a winter wonderland. As the snow turned to rain Friday, the light accumulation was quickly washed away.
