KENT — Kent’s Girl Scouts (and one Boy Scout) aided in the 2011 Kent Town Cleanup with a sweep of the village streets on Monday, April 25.

The volunteers split up into two groups; one picked up trash in the residential areas of Elizabeth Street and Lane Street, and the other group worked on both sides of Main Street.

The Scouts found cigarette butts, bottle caps and various wrappers, all of which were removed from the ground with gloved hands and placed into trash bags.
