Robert ‘Bob’ Arthur Jasmin Jr.

AMENIA — Robert “Bob” Arthur Jasmin Jr., 45, died tragically on June 6, 2011, doing the work he loved to do. His job is ranked in the top 10 most dangerous jobs. He was an arborist for 25 years.

He was born Nov. 11, 1965, in Mount Kisco, N.Y., and grew up in Flushing, Ohio. Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, running, motorcycles and gardening.

He started his career as an arborist at Hawthorne Brothers, where he made many good friends and learned from them. In 1998, Bob started his own company, Jasmin Tree Service in Amenia.

Bob is survived by his wife of 20 years, Victoria (Acuna) Jasmin; their four children, Adam Francis, Tyler Nash, Nicholas Robert and Holly Ysabel; his sisters, Marilyn (Jasmin) Black and Catherine (Jasmin) Acuna; a brother, Ernest Jasmin; a stepsister, Heidi Deforrest; a stepbrother, William DeForrest; his stepmother, Maria Jasmin of Ohio; an uncle and aunt, John and Pat Jasmin; as well as many cousins.

He was predeceased by his parents, Helen Pearson and Robert Arthur Jasmin Sr.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated June 11 at Immaculate Conception Church in Amenia. Private cremation followed.
