Regional wrestling tourney at Hotchkiss

LAKEVILLE — The Hotchkiss School varsity wrestling team hosted the Western New England Independent School Wrestling Championships on Saturday, Feb. 11.

Twenty teams from Connecticut and New York state took part.

Hotchkiss finished the day with one champion and nine other medalists, earning fourth place honors.

Avon Old Farms earned a team victory with 235.50 points (including two champions and five other runner-ups), nearly 50 points ahead of Brunswick and Suffield.

Hotchkiss followed with 162 points.
