Planning Board numbers may rise


MILLBROOK — Tuesday, May 31, at the Village Board meeting, Millbrook Mayor Laura Hurley discussed a proposed local law to increase the members of the Planning Board from five to seven. The term for a member of the Planning Board lasts seven years.

In New York, village law states that if two additional members are added to a five-member board they cannot actively partake in board matters. Village Attorney Rebecca Valk said, however, that this restriction can be overridden.
