Pine Plains remembers prominent local figure

PINE PLAINS — Pine Plains said goodbye to one of its prominent residents during a service held on Saturday, Aug. 13.

Clyde Ralston Chase died on Saturday, Aug. 6, after a decade-long battle with Parkinson’s disease.

Friends, family and community members spoke about Chase’s life, emphasizing his love of and dedication to Pine Plains.

Chase served on several boards and held government positions at both town and county levels.
