A philosopher travels the woods: talk on March 5


FALLS VILLAGE — David K. Leff’s “Deep Travel: In Thoreau’s Wake on the Concord and Merrimack” is the subject of the next book talk in the Forest Lyceum series from Great Mountain Forest on Saturday, March 5, 4 p.m. at the Norfolk Library.

The Great Mountain is a working forest in Falls Village and Norfolk.

Leff is a former deputy commissioner of the state Department of Environmental Protection and was instrumental in securing Great Mountain’s Forest Legacy easement in 2003.
