Patriot’s Day Vigil to be held at St. Joseph’s Church

NORTH CANAAN — The 10th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks on the U.S. will bring memorial events across the country.

The Knights of Columbus at St. Joseph’s Church have, for several years now, recognized the thousands who died that day, and the heroes of rescue operations and war against terrorism that followed.

This year, the Patriot Day Vigil will begin at midnight Sept. 10 and continue for more than 24 hours.

Much of that time will be spent in silence, without speeches and ceremony.
