No check yet for Rumsey demolition

Lawsuit filed

CORNWALL — It’s been a year since the town loaned about $50,000 toward the demolition of Rumsey Hall in the village.

Town officials agreed to provide a loan, at 18 percent, on the condition that mortgage holder JP Morgan Chase would guarantee repayment. Despite repeated promises of a pending payment, the check is not yet in the mail.
