New volunteers at Chubby Bunny farm

FALLS VILLAGE — On a cold and wet Monday morning Dan Hayhurst was mapping out the plans for the day.

Listening were four volunteers, young people interested in learning about organic and sustainable farming practices.

Casey Clark, a native of New Jersey, and his wife, Tonya Taylor, a Mississippian, met in Malawi while in the Peace Corps.

Clark said they were both working “regular jobs” in New Jersey — teaching school for Clark, working for a nonprofit for Taylor — but they wanted to get into farming.
