New contracts, health-care plan for Region One staff


FALLS VILLAGE — Region One School District teachers have a new three-year contract that includes a 5.75 percent pay raise and an agreement to use the high-deductible plan as the base plan for health insurance.

The contract was ironed out in mediation Nov. 15, ratified by the teachers Nov. 29 and by the board Dec. 5, according to Region One Business Manager Sam Herrick.

It covers 89.2 full-time equivalent teachers at Housatonic Valley Regional High School, plus Pupil Services specialists and Title I teachers regionwide.
