FALLS VILLAGE — A “thorough inspection” of the Falls Village Day Care building on Page Road by Allied Engineering found the building’s roof to be “safe and secure,” First Selectman Pat Mechare reported to the Board of Selectmen at the regular monthly meeting Monday, March 14.

During this winter’s frequent snowstorms heavy, wet snow piled up on the roofs of both the day care center and the Lee. H. Kellogg School. A combination of private contractors, school employees, the Falls Village Volunteer Fire Department and volunteers got the snow off.
