Mountaineers begin with a win, 36-20

FALLS VILLAGE — Victory number one is in the books. Scare number one is behind and all the questions that were asked have been answered ... sort of.

The Housatonic/Wamogo Mountaineers football team pounded out a 36-20 victory over Windsor Locks/Suffield/East Granby last Friday night, Sept. 16, under the lights at Housatonic Valley Regional High School behind the running of senior Jake Sutterlin (27 carries, 212 yards, four touchdowns).

But the score does not reflect how close this game really was.
