KENT — For most of the meals it serves daily, The Villager restaurant seems to be a classic New England diner/coffee shop, with an extensive menu of breakfast dishes, sandwiches and soups.

But occasionally, owners Tony and G.J. Hernandez offer a special dinner menu of specialties from their native Mexico.

The Villager is generally open for breakfast and lunch only, but between March 1 and Nov. 30 the special dinners are offered every Tuesday night. Information about the monthly Mexican meals is found online at www.villagerkent.com (click on “menus”).
