Memorial service - Irma Carlotto Riva

NORTH CANAAN — Irma Carlotto Riva, 91, of Dacula, Ga., and formerly of North Canaan, died Dec. 17, 2010. She was the widow of Oresta “Red” Riva.

Mrs. Riva was a native of Housatonic, Mass., and had lived in the Atlanta, Ga., area for the past five years. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Joseph’s Church in North Canaan.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and Lee Paulk of Dacula; her granddaughters, Tammy Whitworth and her husband, the Rev. David Whitworth, Christine Wright and Heather Lynch and her husband, John Lynch, all of Dacula; and her great-grandchildren, Winter Lynch, Michael Sharp, Laura Ann Whitworth, Sarah Sharp, Katherine Grace Whitworth, Joshua Tunney and Genevive Grace Lynch.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, April 29, at 2 p.m. at St.Joseph’s Church, North Canaan. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are under the care of the Newkirk-Palmer Funeral Home in North Canaan.
