Louise K. Behn

SHARON — Louise K. Behn of Trumbull, Conn., passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Feb. 15, 2011, at the home of her daughter, Laura DeBoer, in Sharon. She was the widow of John “Jack” H. Behn.

Born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Hilda (Morley) and Henry Kell. She became a United States citizen following her marriage. She and Jack lived in Southport and Fairfield before settling in Trumbull for nearly 57 years.

Louise’s greatest joy was being a homemaker, wife and loving mother.

She was a member of Christ Church Tashua, where she participated in the women’s Bible study group.

She volunteered for American Red Cross blood drives for more than 25 years, and for many years enjoyed bowling.

In addition to her daugher Laura, and her husband, Arlin, Louise is survived by a brother, William Kell, and his wife, Joan, of Milford, Conn.; a sister, Maxine Murray, and husband Donald of Trumbull; her other daughters, Karen Nemeth Masley and her husband, John, of Shavertown, Pa., and Marjorie Jennings and her husband, Kevin, of Stratford, Conn.; her grandchildren, Penelope, Jayson, Lauranel, Megan, Jenny and Jesse; two great-grandchildren, Amelia and Hunter; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Harry Kell; and a sister, Marjorie Rickel.
