Lions barbecue is a roaring success

The Pine Plains Lions Club held its 40th Annual Beef Barbecue at the Lions Pavilion on Saturday, Aug. 6, to raise money for the many local groups and projects the Lions support.

Every year, between 500 and 600 community members come out for the event, making the barbecue one of the biggest in the area.  The event raises a few thousand dollars, which the Lions Club uses to support several important community causes.
