Lighting store moves toward a brighter future

PINE PLAINS — Shandell’s, a custom lampshade and vintage lighting studio, will move from its current home in Millerton to a new space in Pine Plains.

Shandell’s, which is owned and operated by Susan Schneider, has been located in Millerton for seven years.

Schneider said that the main reason for the move is space. Her business has outgrown its current home and needs more room to continue to flourish. The new space in Pine Plains is double the size of the current Route 22 location.
