Leonce Joseph Leblond

WINSTED — Leonce Joseph Leblond, 88, died Feb. 28, 2011, at Laurel Hill Healthcare in Winsted. He was predeceased by his wife, Theresa (Rodrigue) Leblond.

Born Jan. 13, 1922, in Plainfield, he was a son of Emma (Brodeur) and Edmond Leblond of Winsted. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in South America. He retired from Boeing Aircraft in California, where he was employed for many years. Upon returning to Connecticut, Mr. Leblond was a communicant of St. Joseph Church in Winsted. He served as a Eucharistic minister there. He loved being part of the church and serving its needs in any way he could.

Mr. Leblond leaves two sons, Ronald Leblond and Raymond Leblond and his wife, Laurie, of Riverside, Calif.; five sisters, Mrs. Madeline Casavant, Irene Leblond and Mrs. Rita Pasquarello, all of Winsted, Mary Jane Leblond of West Hartford and Mrs. Beatrice Rodrigue of Modesto, Calif.; and many nieces, nephews and grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister, Elianne Leblond of Winsted; and a brother, Roger LeBlond of New Britain.

The family thanked the staff and caregivers at Laurel Hill Healthcare for their care and compassion. Funeral services and burial will be held in Riverside.
