Hotchkiss girls come back to best Kent in close rematch

LAKEVILLE — The Hotchkiss School and The Kent School girls basketball teams squared off on Saturday, Feb. 18, in a rematch of a hard-fought game at Kent 10 days earlier in which Hotchkiss defeated Kent for the first time since 2005.

Saturday’s game had significant playoff implications for Hotchkiss, and Kent came in clearly eager to get revenge for their previous loss and to play spoiler for Hotchkiss’s post-season hopes.

The game was fairly even through the first half, with neither team gaining any significant advantage. The half ended with Kent leading 27-25.
