Hearing on CHC plans brings out comments for and against


CORNWALL — A public hearing on a proposed special permit for the construction of what would be the town’s first subsidized senior housing was continued following a session before the Planning and Zoning Commission (P&Z) Feb. 8.

About 90 minutes were devoted to a first look at architectural drawings, siting of the building and other features on the Kent Road (Route 7) lot, comments for and against the project and questions posed to developer Cornwall Housing Corporation (CHC) by P&Z members and the town’s planning consultant.
