Grant will make new Town Hall more energy efficient


AMENIA — A nearly $100,000 grant project gearing up for this spring and summer is looking to save the town of Amenia money in the long run, making its new Town Hall more energy efficient.

Those opportunities were discovered as the result of an energy audit conducted by NYSERDA (New York State Energy Research and Development Authority) before the town even owned the building, which was formerly the Amenia Elementary School, part of the North East Central School District (commonly known as Webutuck).
