Fraudulent letter causes a stir in town clerk’s office


KENT — The Connecticut secretary of the state’s office received a letter in early February accusing the town clerk’s office of not doing its job properly.

The letter was allegedly written and sent in by Assistant Town Clerk Linda Hall — but Hall insists that the letter was sent fraudulently and that she had nothing to do with it.

“There is no way that Linda wrote this letter,” said First Selectman Bruce Adams at the Board of Selectmen’s meeting on March 1.
