Fountain Square chosen for heritage quilt

AMENIA — Fountain Square has officially been selected as the Amenia landmark that will be commemorated on the statewide heritage quilt project.

The project is being promoted by the Association of Public Historians of New York State.

Towns in the state are submitting quilt squares to represent their communities. The squares will be sewn together to form one large quilt, which will be presented to the New York State Museum to house in its collection.

Amenia Town Historian Arlene Iuliano has taken charge to ensure Amenia’s representation in the quilt.
