Firehouse is a tight squeeze

FALLS VILLAGE — The Falls Village Volunteer Fire Department has asked help from the town in financing the construction of a new firehouse on Route 7.

At a recent series of informational meetings, members of the all-volunteer fire department said their fundraising efforts have fallen far short of the amount needed — some $2.5 million.
