Fire incinerates Amenia home

AMENIA — The residence of James Marshall, located at 5197 Route 22, was destroyed in a fire on the evening of Thursday, June 2.
No one was home when the fire started and there were no injuries.
Firetrucks and ambulances were dispatched around 9 p.m.
Firefighters from Amenia, Wassaic, Millerton, Millbrook, Unionvale, Sharon and Lakeville responded to the second-alarm fire. Dover was on standby.
It is uncertain when the fire started. When the Amenia Fire Department arrived on the scene minutes after receiving the call, the entire structure was fully engulfed in flames.
